Mystic Paradise – 3n Cherrapunji 2n Shillong

Arrival at Guwahati by air.
On your arrival meet your driver at the airport and head towards Cherrapunjee.

We will dedicate the whole day to Mawlynnong, a place known for its cleanliness. The village offers picturesque natural beauty. We will go on a trek to the living root bridge at a neighbouring village Riwai. The village also offers a sight of natural balancing rock, a strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Later you will go on a short trek to the living root bridge and explore the village.
 
Also a visit to Dawki Border (Indo-Bangladesh border), where one can enjoy a country boat ride at Umngot river (famous for crystal clear water) and drive back to Cherrapunjee.

We will take a drive from Cherrapunji to Shillong. En route, we will visit some of the Mawphlang Sacred Forests – these forests are where the Khasi customs and traditions have been woven into the land. Then, we will explore Don Bosco Museum and the Archery Field to witness the famous Traditional Archery Game of Meghalaya (Sunday closed and starts around 4 PM) finishing up with a stroll around Police Bazaar area – Shillong’s prime location.

We begin the day by driving towards Jowai. On arrival, we shall visit the mesmerising Krang Suri waterfall. It is the most magical waterfall you can lay your eyes on. Krang Suri is cut off from the tourist circuit. Located in the Jaintia hills, Krang Suri is blessed with shimmering blue waters and sparkling sunlight. This heady mixture of nature is sometimes known to create a rainbow.

After this, we will tour the Laitlum perched in the East Khasi Hills of Shillong. Laitlum Canyons is a little-explored haunt of the mountainous state of Meghalaya. Here, one can see breathtaking gorges and steep winding stairways that snake their way down to the prosperous valley.

After breakfast, you will be dropped at the Guwahati airport to board a flight back home, with an abundance of memories and experiences.
